Attorney Harold F. Moody, Jr.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts Harold F. Moody, Jr. was raised on Boston’s South Shore. After graduating with honors from Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood, Massachusetts in 1981 Attorney Moody attended Norwich University in Northfield, Vermont where he received his Bachelor’s Degree (cum laude) in 1985. In 1990 Attorney Moody received his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1990 and the Federal Bar for the District of Massachusetts in 1991.
Attorney Moody has extensive residential and commercial real estate experience. In addition to representing numerous local and national banks for conveyancing his real estate practice includes litigating title and contract disputes in the Massachusetts Land Court. He also often appears before town permitting boards throughout the South Shore. He is a title agent for Stewart Title Guaranty Company, Old Republic Title Insurance Company and Chicago Title Insurance Company and a member of the Massachusetts Real Estate Bar Association.
Attorney Moody also appears often in Massachusetts Probate Courts whether probating Estates, representing Personal Representatives or litigating Will Contests. As part of his Probate practice Attorney Moody assists individuals with drafting their Last Will & Testaments including Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Proxies.
Over 30 years of business and trial experience also affords Attorney Moody with the insight to assist in choosing the right entity for your business (limited liability company, corporation, partnership) and the skill and understanding to represent your company after formation.
Attorney Moody is married with two children. He is passionate about baseball, skiing, salt water fishing, travelling and reading. Most weeks on Wednesdays and Fridays Lou (The Golden Doodle playing “Man’s Best Friend”) is around the office handling therapy assignments and providing general office goodwill.
